Configuring Outlook 2013 (POP3)

To use your new mailbox, you will need to configure your email client. The basic information that you will require to do this is as follows :-

Usernameyourname@yourdomain.com
Passwordsupplied initially by us, but can be changed by you
Incoming Mail Servermail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Servermail.yourdomain.com

If you are using Outlook 2013, you may find the following step by step instructions of use.

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click the 'File' tab, then click the '+ Add Account' button under Account Information
  3. Select the 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' option at the bottom of the window, then click 'Next'
  4. Select the 'POP or IMAP' option, then click 'Next'
  5. Under 'User Information', enter the name you want to be displayed in the 'Your Name' box and your E-mail address yourname@yourdomain.com in the 'E-mail Address' box
  6. Under 'Server Information', ensure the 'Account Type' drop down menu is set to 'POP3', then enter the Incoming Mail Server as shown in the table above into the 'Incoming Mail Server' box and the Outgoing Mail Server as shown in the table above into the 'Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)' box
  7. Under 'Logon Information', enter your E-mail address yourname@yourdomain.com into the 'Username' box and enter your E-mail password into the 'Password' box
  8. Ensure the 'Remember password' box is ticked
  9. Press the 'More Settings...' button, and go to the Outgoing Server tab. Tick the box which says 'My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication', and then click 'OK'.
  10. Click 'Next' and then 'Finish'
